In April 2024, Toronto will be another stop of the Chess Torch Relay, a global movement aimed at celebrating the rich history of the game and bringing together the entire chess community.

The relay that commenced on February 14 in New Delhi, India, will reach the American continent during the prestigious FIDE Candidates Tournament and become one of the side events of an epic battle to determine the contenders for the reigning world champions.
