Colombia will receive the Olympic Torch, within the framework of the Absolute Continental Tournament of the Americas that will take place between May 24 and June 2, in the city of Medellín at the Hotel Dorado de la 70. The Olympic Torch will adorn the event where athletes, participants and the chess sector will have up close the light of knowledge and reason of men, becoming one more reason to be present at the Continental Chess Championship. 

The route of the Olympic Torch in Medellín will pass through five emblematic parks with chess history in the city. In each of them, a simultaneous chess match will begin that will allow the massification of the sport and the linking of new athletes from the different sectors of the city.
