The award celebrates outstanding contributions to chess photography by conveying the atmosphere and capturing emotions and poses during games and events.
The images must be completely a product of the photographer’s thought and execution. Applicants cannot use AI technology to augment the images. Only documentary photography, dedicated to real-life events, people, and social issues, can be submitted.
The competition is open to all chess photographers – amateur and professional. Applicants can submit up to 10 chess-related images. In addition to the image/images, an applicant shall send a brief information about himself/herself. Each image must be in jpg format, no less than 1920px on the long side and 10MB or smaller. File names must begin with “FIDE100_LASTNAME_FIRSTNAME”.
